Match Report - Under 11a - 30th May 2004
BAT v Lymington - by Tony Thorp

Side Batting First: BAT U11 246-3
Side Batting Second: Lymington U11a 247-5

Lymington won the toss and elected to field first. Tight accurate bowling restricted BAT to 246 from there 16 overs on another belter of a sports ground wicket. The fielding was of a very high standard and Lymington were quietly confident at the half way point. After 8 overs Lymington were rocking at 211-5. Captain A lindsay-Wood set a fine example of powerful driving and good running between the wickets. The final pair required 12 runs for victory from 4 overs, J Gossage duly completed the task and then defended the last over to preserve a superb victory by the narrowest of margins over a physically much stronger BAT side.
