Match Report - Under 11a - 27th June 2004
Lymington v pylewell

Lymington U11A 261 - 2
pylewell U11A 225 - 8

Lymington entertained local rivals pylewell at the sports ground and had no hesitation inviting pylewell to bat first on a damp but drying pitch. pylewell made a steady if not spectacular start against good Lymington bowling reaching 227 at the half way stage. Lymington turned to wicket keeper T Breach to remove his pads and bowl his occasional off spin, returning the quite remarkable figures of 3 for 8 from his 3 overs. M Bramwell  2 for 11 and S Devlin 2 for 11 ensured Lymington restricted the visitors to a below par score of  225 for 8 with only M Truell (12)  and R Loseby (9) making a positive contribution.

In reply Lymington batted with maturity chasing such a modest total, content on not losing wickets and quietly accumulating runs to ease past the visitors total. However C Kinsella decided to blast his way to (11) losing his wicket twice once, to a splendid catch in the deep by H Jamieson. Lymington captain A Lindsay-Wood (15) was left with the task of securing maximum points, leaving Lymington still in the League title chase.
