Lymington 3rd X1 202-6
Woodgreen 68-10 |
At last, our beleagued third eleven have finally triumphed. Despite the soggy conditions, several interuptions for rain plus an awesome tea Lymington won a rain affected game by 34 runs after several reduced targets. Having to bat first in these type of conditions clearly gives an advantage to the side chasing but not in this instance. Our openers Tim Margetston 27 and Nick Lee 42 put on 73 runs in good time with Lee playing several imperious drives. The departure of Lee allowed Peter Tapper late of the 2nd X1 to merrily slog 61 including 3 sixes and 7 fours to keep the runs flowing. His exit slowed the tempo but Chris Nutt with 20 and Alex Treagus 10 made sure that 200 was exceeded.
