Match Report - Hants Regional Div 3SW - 31st July 2004
Lymington IV v Camelot

Side Batting First: Lymington 230 for 6
Side Batting Second: Camelot 152 all out

Lymington's good run of form continued, and by the same token so did that of Damian Jayasinghe who moved things along from the start with a rapid 35. With John McGuirk (34) also settling in at the crease a good base was being established. This was partially eroded by Broomfield (3-58) and had a simple chance from Steve Coltman not been spurned early in his innings the game may have proceeded very differently. As it was Coltman blossomed in useful partnerships with Dom Di Maria (20) and Mark Gannaway (23no) in a welcome return to form. By the end Coltman was back in accustomed mode and finished unbeaten on 72.

In a similar vein, Camelot also relied on one player for the bulk of their runs but unlike Lymington J Colbourne (74no) received little support from any of his colleagues. After a steady start the introduction of John McGuirk (4-35) caused the batsman all manner of problems on a wicket that was beginning to offer prodigious spin. Scott Tapper (1-19) again bowled well, and the day was also notable for James Winderam's first senior wicket.
