Side Batting First: Elite 90 for 6
Side Batting Second: Pennington 91 for 4 |
After two close matches earlier in the season, this proved a much more one-sided affair with the Elite failing to post a meaningful score. This was despite the best efforts of Malcolm Douglas (36), but there was little support from elsewhere as K Leach (3-15) and Barry Torah (2-8) did most of the damage.
By contrast Roger Porter (34) and John Williamson (32) both settled in quickly at the wicket to ensure that any hopes of an Elite comeback were snuffed out without any undue fuss.
