Treagus ton warms up shivering Sparsholt
A sparkling century from Glyn Treagus was the highlight of Lymington's penultimate game of the season at Sparsholt yesterday. In bitterly cold conditions the home side totalled 226 for 2. 60 of those runs came from Ryan Mannix the mop-topped Aussie who narrowly pipped Glyn to this season's SPL Division Two batting award. Lymington found themselves in a promising position with 20 overs of the match remaining, but the dismissals of Adie Hunt (39) and Treagus (106) triggered a mini-collapse. It was left to Dom Di Maria and stand-in captain Chris James to safely bat out the last over as Lymington finished on 202 for 7.
