Lymington travelled the short distance to Sway with a very young and inexperienced team invited the opposition to bat first. Sway were soon in trouble against the accurate opening attack. Under 11 captain A Lindsay Wood led the way taking 3 - 7 ably supported by quality catching especially by C McKean who held a stunning catch at mid wicket. M Boynton 2 - 12 , T Hill 2 - 15 and B Rostand 1-10 kept things tight in the final overs to restrict Sway to 56-8, for whom B Bunce retired with a very well constructed (30).
The young Lymington make shift openers J Simpson (9) and A Boynton (22) not out took the total to 54 off 6 overs before a mini collapse saw Sway take 2 quick wickets. Stand in captain and Wicket Keeper A Boynton hit the winning runs in the 8th over to secure a comprehensive victory by 8 wickets. Lymington can look forward to next season's Under13 campaign with high hopes as over half the side were from the strong Under 11 team.
