Lymington CC Under 15 beat Hordle CC by 7 Wickets

Another New Forest Colts season commenced with Hordle CC doing very well to get this match played due to the recent inclement weather, the square although not fit was played on the artificial pitch located at one end. The first Hordle wicket to fall was from a run out as a result a great throw and direct hit from distance by Scott Tapper with only just over a stump to aim at. They were soon in more trouble against the Lymington opening attack of Hampshire Under 15 player Lloyd Scott and young Elliott Lindsay-Wood with Lloyd taking 3 for 8 in 3 overs and Elliott although not taking a wicket conceded only 3 runs in his 3 overs. Ali Binley then took 2 wickets in his 1 over and Ben Wastall 1 for 2 in 2 overs and Daniel Waters bowling his leg breaks conceded only 4 runs in his 2 overs. Will Thorp took 1 wicket for 1 run in his 2 overs with team captain Lloyd Scott giving all his bowlers early season practice. The only Hordle batsman to contain the Lymington bowlers was Greg Steed and they were eventually all dismissed for 25.

Lymington in reply were soon in trouble against the pace of Darryl Hoole who bowled 3 of the early reshuffled batting order but the promising Tim Noble captain of last years all conquering Under 13 team finished the game with a 4 and a big 6.
