Foot injury is toe joke for Marty!
Martin Hunt is out of Lymington's Southern Electric Premier League clash with Hursley Park tomorrow. The stocky left-hander, thought to be the second most injury-prone sportsman in England after Darren Anderton, damaged a toe whilst gardening and will be replaced by Dave Griffiths. Dominic Norton is recalled to the side after impressing for the Second XI in last week's thriller against OTs. Retiring skipper Dan Peacock is moving house and misses the match, so Ben Craft takes over the captaincy for the next two games. Third place Hursley still harbour hopes of promotion, and with former AFC Lymington footballer Adi Aymes at the helm this should be a very competitive fixture.
The Seconds are without several key players as they travel to high-flying Tichborne Park. As mentioned above, Norton and Griffiths have been promoted to the Firsts while Guy Hayward has water on the knee. Marc O'Sullivan and Christian Rathbone are both on holiday, so their places go to Jack Todd and Ian Young who make their first appearances of the season.
The Thirds could be virtually safe from relegation if they beat Southampton Travellers at Woodside. Although Paul Sturmey's season has ended due to his footballing commitments, Jerry Holt has recovered from his pulled muscle and Peter Tapper has returned from Cornwall. The Fourths travel to promotion-seeking Swan Green with regular seamers Luigi Di Maria and Bob Iles still unable to bowl due to injury.
