St. Cross won the toss & had no hesitation in asking Lymington to bat first. By the end of the 7th over Lymington had 10 runs on the board for the loss of 4 wickets. Mark Jackson (63 not out) & Simon Naylor (17) then started to rescue to situation by taking the score upto 48. Jackson was then joined by Ed Carter (49) & they pushed the score onto a healthy 142. Matt Allen (13 not out) gave the final push upto 180 runs for the loss of 6 wickets.

Lymington had the perfect start when Chris Noble took wickets in the first & third overs. The steady fall of wickets ended with St. Cross being all out for 86 runs.
