The U11a's travelled for their second game of the season to Sway. Having won the toss Adam Welch elected to bowl on a green wicket.
Ollie Wiltshire (2-8-0) bowled accurately causing the Sway batsman problems with his leg spin before swapping the keepers gloves with David Cureton.
Sam Moss(3-7-0) was the pick of the Lymington attack and was unlucky not to take a wicket, a feat only achieved by Sophie Gossage(2-13-1).
Adam Welch(3-9-0) and David Cureton (2-9-0) bowled very economically, as did Nicky Elliot (2-3-0) who only conceded three runs from his two overs.
The team was ably backed up by Alan Maher (1-5-0) and Josh Bowring (1-4-0). Gus Woolley(7) Joe Fussell(5) and William Woodfine (10) were the main contributors although extras accounted for 29 runs. The tight bowling only resulted in one wicket, but Lymington compensated for this with excellent fielding, with three run outs, two being direct hits.
Lymington started steadily with Adam Welch (9) and Sam Moss laying a good foundation. The tempo then accelerated with David Cureton (21) and Nicky Elliott (6) which was carried on by Alan Maher (6) and Ollie Wiltshire (18) putting Lymington on 271 after the twelfth over. Needing 4 wickets the Sway bowlers applied pressure with accurate bowling but Josh Bowring and Sophie Gossage saw Lymington home. The pick of the Sway bowlers was Sam Richards (3-5-0) David Steadman (3-21-2) Jordan Taylor (2-15-2) and William Woodfine (3-10-1)
