Lymington won the toss and duly elected to bat first, on another excellent sports ground pitch. Openers Ben Rostand (30 Retired) and Sam Tombs (31 Retired) help create a superb opening partnership scoring 60 runs from the first 8 overs, only A Linsay-Wood (17) made any further significant contribution, as the innings somewhat fizzled out on 99-6 from 16 overs. A very young Langley Manor side fielded and bowled very well.
It was soon apparent that chasing such a daunting total would be beyond Langley Manor, therefore dogged defence became the order of the day. To their credit the Lymington bowlers remained focused in the task of chasing bonus points and managed to take six wickets, with Langley Manor finishing on 28-6, thus Lymington winning by 71 runs
