On a glorious Sunday morning at the Sports Ground Lymington elected to bat but lost captain Tim Noble for a duck however fellow opener Scott Tapper and Tom Thorp (8) took the score to 59 before the latter was bowled. Will Thorp (1) was also bowled. Scott Tapper retired after an excellent 40 which left Stuart Beveridge (19 not out) and Jamie Winderam (18 not out) both batting well to take the final score to 107 for 4 after 18 overs.
In reply Bashley Rydal were behind the run rate due to tight bowling by initially Will Thorp (4 overs 0 for 13) and Scott Tapper (4 overs 2 maidens 1 for 7) backed up by Tom Thorp (3 overs 0 for 20) and Jamie Winderam (4 overs 0 for 34). Although not losing wickets at first Bashley in their quest to increase the run rate there were 3 run outs with Tim Noble (3 overs 0 for 22) bowling at the end and Lymington squeezed home by 9 runs.
With no chance of Lymington winning the league the Under 15's now concentrate on the Cup quarter final match away against Michelmersh & Timsbury CC on Wednesday 20th July.
The likely semi-final opponents are BAT and the final is on Sunday 31st July at Langley Manor CC.
