Lymington went into the game with a strong side and needed a win to secure status in the Country 1 league next year.
Flamingo's started brightly with some erratic Lymo bowling and indifferent fielding, however, Peter Tapper and Will Thorp bowled tightly and only C Green cut loose and scored a patient 40. Flamingo's stuttered to 208 for 8 when 250 looked like a par score.
Lymington started cautiously and lost early wickets. Martin Hunt started the revival and scored a good 70. With 6 runs per over required and some consistent bowling Lymington turned to Peter Tapper who saw the side home with a typical swashbuckling 40 getting Lymo home with 2 overs to spare.
This well fought game played in a good spirit capped off an inconsistent season which Lymington will have to improve on if they are to maintain their league status next season.
