Lymington U13's 112-4 Versus Langley Manor U13's 96-6
Lymington hosted Langley Manor at the Sports Ground on a superb summers evening. Lymington elected to bat first with openers A Lindsay-Wood (31 Retired) and Under 11 opening batsman D Cureton (28) putting on 54 for the first wicket. Langley then bowled very well and restricted Lymington to a somewhat disappointing 112- 4 with only C Kinsella (21) making any further significant contribution.
Langley started there reply in rapid fashion with M Hillier (30 Retired) and J Harvey (32 Retired). After 13 overs Langley had scored 81 for 2 and only required a further 32 runs from 5 overs to pull off a surprise victory. Lymington managed to claw themselves back into the game with some very tight and accurate bowling from N Elliot (3 for 12 from 4 overs) and Captain A Lindsay-Wood (2 for 13).Defending Cup winners Lymington now face BAT or Cadnam away in the quarter finals.
