Lymo 111-4, BAT 105-9
Lymington hosted previously unbeaten BAT at the sports ground and were invited to bat first.
The BAT openers bowled both accurately and without luck as Lymington cautiously developed their innings. The key partnership was between A Lindsay-Wood (35*) including a six over the pavilion and C Kinsella (25*). N Parker contributed a brave (14) to leave the Lymington innings closed on 111-4.
If Lymington were to defend their total it was possible that they would have to produce their best bowling and fielding display of the season thus far. C kinsella rose to the task producing his best bowling figures of the season, 2 for 14 from his 4 overs. At the halfway mark Lymington appeared to be in total control with BAT 41-3 after 9 overs and requiring a further 71 runs for victory. Opening batsmen J Thacker retired on (33) which brought the hard hitting A Tull to the crease. A Tull was spectacularly run out from the deep attempting a fourth run for (19). T Hart (13) attempted to increase the run rate when he was well caught off a skied pull shot by man of the match C Kinsella. Part time bowler J Gossage swung the game towards Lymington by claiming 3 - 15 leaving N Elliot to bowl the last over with BAT requiring 15 for victory. N Elliot held his nerve to leave Lymington victorious by 6 runs.
