Cup Quarter Final BAT 99-6 - Lymington 33ao
Lymington traveled to BAT for the cup quarter final for what would have made the ideal final between the best two local teams at this age level. BAT elected to bat first and made good early progress with J Thacker retiring on (30*). All the Lymington bowlers bowled well and restricted BAT to a very achievable target.
The Lymington reply got off to the worst possible start losing inspirational skipper A Lindsay-Wood to the first ball of the innings. At the end of the first over Lymington had lost two wickets without a single run on the board! N Elliot (5) and C Kinsella (9) gave Lymington hope but when they both fell in the same over Lymington capitulated to 33 all out and their first defeat of the season. BAT totally outplayed Lymington and avenged their earlier loss to the same Lymington team only two weeks previous and should now go on and win the cup.
