Lymington 131-5 - Milford 0n Sea 106-7
Lymington elected to bat first in their final league match of this season, and added 43 for the first wicket before A Lindsay-Wood was dismissed for a well constructed (23). The hard hitting O Wiltshire played some impressive shots for his (27*) well supported by J Gossage (18) including a huge six into the tennis courts. The Lymington innings closed on 131-5.
The Milford reply began in disastrous fashion losing two quick wickets to the Lymington pace attack of C kinsella and A Lindsay-Wood with the score on 15. L Lewis (27) and ex Lymington colt O Hill (31*) batted very sensibly without ever really threatening Lymington's total.
The match petered out into a comfortable Lymington win with the whole team having a bowl in the knowledge that a win would be sufficient to secure another league title. Lymington will now face Cadnam at Wellow Cricket Club on Sunday 23rd July in a league play off to decide the overall champions of the two New Forest Leagues.
