Bashley to strong for young Lymington

Lymington won the toss and elected to bat on the artificial wicket. A Welch (5) and A Drodge (5) started steadily. but although staying in wasn't a problem, scoring was in the face of good accurate bowling. Finally in a attempt to up the run rate Welch sacrificed his wicket, and with the rest of the team trying to pick up the slow run rate wickets fell steadily. Pick of the bowlers were R Taylor 3 overs 2 wickets for 4 runs, M Carter 2 overs 2 wickets for 2 runs and B Boon 2 overs 2 wickets for 1 run. Lymington hit the self destruct button with three run outs, and generally they will feel they under performed for their 38 runs.

In reply Skipper Welch, Maher and Moors all bowled well with the later taking the only wicket. C Banks(22) and it was left to Day and Bettle to see Bashley home.
