Lymington 54 all out New Milton 125-0

Bad day at the Office
Due to 20/20 at the Rose Bowl and call ups to the 13a's, Lymington U13b had a strong resemblance to the U11b's. Winning the toss Lymington decided to bowl, relying on their normally accurate bowling to put pressure on New Milton. Unfortunately New Milton didn't read the script, and first Rogers (30) then Saunders (31) and finally Case (30) retired in a display of powerful batting strokes. New Milton Finished on 125 from their 18 overs, and didn't even lose a wicket. The only saving factor was good fielding, which prevented a 150+ score

In reply Lymington decided to forget most of the seasons lessons, and surrendered their wickets with the exception of Welch (9no) who proved the New milton attack was playable. Pick of the New Milton bowlers was E Mctavish (2-0-4-3) and A Case (2-0-4-2).

This was a resounding win for a very worthy New Milton side, and Lymington need to remember that you need to work hard to achieve their goals. It will be interesting if Lymington can improve when they meet New Milton again in 2 weeks time.
