New Milton batted first, and found the Lymington bowling suffocating. As always backed up sharp fielding Milton were always struggling to make headway, only O Nichols and J Thompson managed to get a good return scoring 13 from their 4 overs. All the Lymington bowlers played their part, with the Felix Ambrose(2) and Louis Ambrose(1) Joe Cartwright(1) and C Haining(1) all taking wickets.
Lymingtons reply went past the Milton Total in only the 3 over, and from then on it was just a matter of how many. A Drodge(16) J Cartwright(14) and F Ambrose(14) all made double figures, and helped by Miltons 32 extras the final total of 289 was a result of good team work. For New Milton O Nicholls(3-1-13-2) was the pick of the bowlers taking both the Lymington wickets to fall to a bowler.
