Last Friday evening at Lymington Cricket ground Lymington and New Milton played a cup match and New Milton won the toss and put Lymington into bat. With the loss of an early wicket Lymington's batsman applied the pressure to the bowlers. C Moors (26) and F Ambrose (26) both retired with some great calling and running between the wickets. J Cartwright (19) L Ambrose (21) also made double figures. Lymington panicked in the last over with wild swings and crazy running giving A Adams (new Milton) 3 wickets in the last over. Lymington finished on 116 for 5 from 18 over's.
New Milton's T Edwards (27 retired) opened the batting and made a good start putting Lymington under pressure. But once Edwards retired the run rate slowed leaving New Milton on 62 for 4 wickets from 18 over's
