Bashley batted first having won the toss and were quickly into there stride until a fine catch by L Perry of the bowling of captain L Ambrose (4-0-23-1) removed R Vallis. C Banks (20) set about repairing the damage, but it was B Boon (30 retired) who batted sensibly especially against S Wimslow (4-0-14-2). O Ashby (17no) picked up the tempo and but for 2 run outs Lymington would have faced an even bigger target.
The inexperienced Lymington batting order struggled against the excellent bowling of J Rapson (3-2-2-0) and J Bettle (3-0-5-1) on the bouncy artifical wicket. D Cooper (11) seemed to be getting the measure when he hit a full toss straight to J Bettle who took a fine catch. The same ball worked again for S Morris (3-1-9-2) and despite a late flurry from J Orman (8) and F Ambrose (26) the bowling of S Lavis (3-0-22-1) and R Taylor (2-0-14-1) saw Bashley comfortably home.
Bashley U13a 18 points Lymington U13b 4 points.
