Totton & Eling (BAT as was) 119 for 4 v Lymington 118 for 4
Lymington lost by 6 wickets
It is often a tight game when these team meet as so it proved again today, the game going down to the wire.
On a lovely Sunday morning at the Totton & Eling ground the Lymington Under 15 XI batted first and Aidan Lindsay-Wood (22) and Tom Jenvey (27) batted steadily with the latter striking 6 fours before he was out in the 6th over. George Hayward (28) batted well and Charlie Kinsella (5) was caught but Josh Thacker (12 not out) with 2 nice boundaries and Ben Rostand( 13 not out) with a square cut 6 took the score to 118 for 4 after 18 overs.
In reply Aidan Lindsay-Wood (4 overs 1 for 20) and Ben Rostand ( 4 overs 1 for 28) bowled tightly but were unable to take wickets but the introduction of Charlie Kinsella (4 overs 1 for 10) brought a wicket. Tom Jenvey (2 overs 0 for 12) and George Hayward ( 3 overs 0 for 26) were unable to get wickets and the run rate increased but at 74 for 1 in the 14th over Totton & Eling required 35 from 4 overs. Shane Devlin (1 over 1 for 10) took a wicket with his first ball but due to some good batting and some dropped catches and indifferent fielding Totton & Eling squeezed home off the last ball of the final over.
