Milford-On-Sea 104 for 9 - Lymington 155 for 5
Lymington batted first and openers Sam Tombs (33 and Aidan Lindsay-Wood (6) started with some very quick singles before the latter was adjudged lbw. Ben Rostand (19) struck the ball well hitting 3 fours before he was bowled playing an extravagant shot which brought in Charlie Kinsella (10) who hit 2 fours before he too was bowled by another extravagant shot. Max Williams (1) was unluckily run out by a rather sharp call but Josh Thacker (33 not out ) and Jakob Leigh (29 not out) put on a stand of over 70 and the Lymington final score was 155 for 5 after 18 overs. Jakob in 2 years with the club has hardly batted and showed his potential batting promise with this opportunity no doubt after his experiences of batting in the 3rd team and Josh joined from the former BAT this year as an accomplished batsman so it was good to see them making use of their chance.
In reply Milford lost an early wicket to Ben Rostand (2 overs 1 for 13) and Aidan Lindsay-Wood (2 overs 0 for 6) was unable to get one but Shane Devlin (3 overs 2 for 12) picked up a couple. Max Williams ( 1 over 0 for 14), Charlie Kinsella ( 2 overs 2 for 8) and Jakob Leigh (2 overs 0 for 14) were a little wayward. Leg spinner Ollie Wiltshire (2 overs 1 for 12) and Michael Lowe (1 over 0 for 14) bowled before spinners Josh Thacker (2 overs 2 for 7) and David Cureton ( 1 over 2 for 4) almost bowled out Milford who finished on 104 for 9 after 18 overs.
