Batting first a very young and inexperienced Langley Manor side were in trouble immediately with all the Lymington bowlers on the mark. Backed up with great fielding O Marshall (3-2-1-4) took four wickets, A Drodge (3-1-7-2) and S Paxton (2-1-4-2) took two wickets each, and F Ambrose (2-1-7-1) took one wicket as they tied up Langleys batsmen. Finishing on 192 Langley lost 9 wickets.
In reply Lymington lost only 2 wickets, but the wayward Langley Manor bowling proved hard to hit (and sometimes reach) and provided 53 extras in a final total of 269. A good performance by Lymington, and a learning curve for Langley.
Lymington 15 points Langley Manor 0 points.
