A slightly damp wicket saw Lymington play away to Milford. Milford batted first and after the fourth ball the wickets started to fall for an inexperienced side. With the total of 14 lost wickets and A Adams the only batsman not to get out and the highest scorer with 4 runs Milford ended on 179.
Lymingtons openers J Holland (16) and W Entwhisle (4) got the runs going. C Moors (13) and H Chandler (12). H Illsley went for a big slog on the last ball of his over and got caught, J Cornwell (24) growing in confidence with the bat. J Quigley (21) still lost a wicket C Haining (9).
