A good day for Lymington B started when Captain Kinsella elected to field after winning the toss. Bramshaw were soon going backwards at a rapid rate as accurate fast bowling from Lymington U9 Finn Ambrose resulted in 3 wickets in his first over. An all-bowled hat trick was completed on the first ball of his second over & he finished with figures of 5 for 9. All Lymington's other bowlers contributed well with a wicket each and Howland taking 2 wickets for 4 runs. Lymington's good teamwork, sharp fielding & excellent catching assisted the bowlers in taking a total of 11 wickets limiting a competent Bramshaw side to 30 runs.
Opening Lymington's innings, Kinsella, ably supported by Howard-Allen, took the battle to Bramshaws opening bowlers scoring 11 in rapid time & including two powerfully hit boundaries. The McGrigor twins added 21, causing chaos amongst Bramshaw's fielders, running seemingly impossible singles & scoring through some Caribbean shot-making! Elliott & Ambrose contributed 7 and Howlett & Doggett scored 9, finishing off a solid batting performance in the face of good Bramshaw bowling.
