Lymington 220 for 8 - Burridge 126ao
Lymington recorded back to back victories with a comfortable 94 run win over Burridge. After winning the toss Adie Hunt had no hesitation in batting first on a good looking wicket and openers Jamie Harvey and Dave Griffiths looked to give the team a solid start. Unfortunately for Lymington Burridge opening bowler Mascarenhas had other ideas and had them both back in the pavilion before the score had reached 20. Dai-Morgan Rushbrook and Rob Lammiman took the score onto 54 before Lammiman was caught behind for 19, overseas player Craig O'Shannessy strode purposefully to the crease and in typical fashion smashed the ball to all parts of the ground before falling for 39 from only 25 deliveries to leave Lymington on 104 for 4 from 25 overs. Christian Pain joined Rushbrook at the crease and these 2 pushed the score along to 167 during which time Rushbrook made 68 before being caught on the boundary. Pain fell soon after for 34 and Lymington lost their momentum and could only muster 220 for 8 from their 50 overs when 250 had seemed a certainty with 10 overs to go.
Although Lymington were disappointed with their score they still knew that Burridge would have to bat well to chase the total. O'Shannessy made the first break through when he had Burridge captain Ankers LBW for only 4 and his new ball partnership with Rushbrook strangled the Burridge scoring rate and after 12 overs had only conceded 28 runs. Rushbrook's miserly spell paid dividends when he took 2 wickets in the same over to leave Burridge 43 for 3 with only Brunschweiler providing much resistance. A double bowling change bringing Ed Freeman and Tommy Barton into the attack took the game further away from the hosts as Barton took 3-36 and Freeman 1-12, including the important wicket of Brunschweiler for 40. After drinks O'Shannessy returned to the attack to pick up 2 more wickets to finish with 3-15 and the Burridge innings closed on 126.
