On an excellent prepared wicket at woodside park Lymington won the toss and elected to bat first. Openers J Holt(27) and S Coltman(16) started off steadily until the 6th over when D Barbers (11-3-31-4) accurate bowling started to take effect. T Noble(4) was unlucky to be given out lbw. P Tapper (18) took to the crease with a fine looking funky bat and after some great shots was bowled by J Goodchild (9-38-2). J Morton (29) and young J Thacker (21) notched up the runs quickly with the tail enders L Moors (14no) L Hillman (7) L Dimaria (5) K Moors (0no) to end on 158 for 9 off 42 overs.
After a fine tea Lymington took to the field with D Jaysinghue (9-21-1) opening the bowling. The first wicket fell early on but S Hill (18) and R Weaks (36) seemed to pile on the runs quickly and at half way seemed to have control of the match. P Tapper (12-21-2) ans L Hillman (12-40-4) tight bowling slowed up the run rate. J Thacker (5-20-1) bowled well, and excellent keeping by 12 year old K Moors (2run outs and i stumping) Trojans only needed 12 off the last over. S Coltman (1-5-0) bowled the last over to give lymington their first win of the season. Trojans ended on 151 all out.
