Lymington 3rd's recorded a much needed victory in their bid to avoid relegation. Chasing down 107 they won by nine wickets and helped by two fine performances from our younger cricketers. On a wet wicket runs were always going to be at a premium and tight bowling by Scott Tapper and Ben Rostand followed up by an excellent spell of 1-39 off 12 overs by Tim Noble meant that Centurions were always behind the clock. Enter young Pixi and he weaved his magic and completely bemused the opposition by taking 5-26.
A good start was essential and Jerry Holt 14 runs, not years, with Ben Rostand took the score to 25 before Jerry was out LBW. This paved the way for young Scott Tapper to make his mark and duly scored 61 not out and recorded his first league fifty for the Club. Ending the match with a six this win should help to avoid relegation.
