Swan Green - Lymington Match Tied

There was yet more excitement on Sunday as Lymington tied their Forest Cup Twenty-20 match at Swan Green. Tommy Barton launched several balls across the A35 before retiring on 35 as Lymington gave chase to the home side's 188 for 6. Christian Pain also retired, and it looked as though Nicky Elliott's late cameo innings was enough to see Lymington home. But, in a dramatic final over, Lee Moors fell attempting a suicidal run out, leaving Geoff Renshaw and 13 year old Kieran Moors with the task of scoring five from the final three balls. Renners steered the first ball past the keeper for 4, but was sadly run out attempting a match-winning single from the last ball of the match to leave the scores level.
