Junior indoor league knockout finals
Lynx Junior Indoor League Under 13 Knockout Cup Final
Lymington Under 13b 64-2 Lymington U13a 67-4
Having disposed of all the other clubs Lymington had a no lose position for the final. Batting first the 'B's weathered the early storm despite losing J Cartwright and H Chandler quickly. J Mcquoid (25 rtd) and L Ambrose (20 rtd) recovered the score to a passable total in the face of accurate bowling from F Ambrose (2-0-10-0) and C Moors (2-0-13-1) but pick of the bowlers was S Wimslow (2-0-5-1) who strangled the 'B's.
The 'A's didn't have things all there own way losing their first wicket with only 3 runs on the board. K Moors (14) departed after a flurry of shots, paving the way for Man of the Match S Wimslow (21 not out) to put the 'A's over the line with W Entwistle (6) proving a very solid partner. In the bowling department L Ambrose (2.5-0-12-0), J McQuoid (1-0-15-0) G Edwards (2-0-18-1) and H Chandler (1-0-9-0) all applied pressure, but J Cartwright (2-0-9-2) very nearly turned the form book on its head with brilliant spin bowling.
Lymington can only be pleased with the strength and depth of their U13s, and look forward to the outdoor season.
The Lymington Team: Finn Ambrose, Felix Ambrose, Louis Ambrose, J Cartwright, H Chandler, G Edwards, W Entwistle, J Holland, B Howard-Allen, J McQuoid, C Moors, K Moors, S Wimslow, L Moors (manager). Absent H Illsey and E Collison.
Lynx Junior Indoor League Under 11 Knockout Cup Final.
Lymington Under 11b 34-5 New Milton U11a 36-1
Having won the toss New Milton asked Lymington to bat first, and quickly had the top order back on the benchs. Only H Chandler (7) and E Collison (9) were able to show any capacity to score against an accurate New Milton bowling attack. A Mills (2-0-11-0) and O Nicholls (2-1-3-0) bowled tidy overs, then G Watts (2-1-3-1) and J Thompson (2-0-7-1) took vital wickets. Pick of the bowlers was B Tomkins (2-0-10-2) who ripped the heart out of Lymington.
In reply O Nicholls (9) blazed away, before W Crossley (6) and B Tomkins (9) finished the match in less than half the allotted overs to take the Cup.
New Milton were worthy winners, culminating an indoor season that saw a very settled squad improve beyond measure to be Knockout Cup winners.
New Milton U11a: S Watts (manager) W Crossley, A Mills, O Nicholls, B Tomkins, J Thompson, and G Watts.

Lymo do the double
The Under 11 and 13 junior indoor teams finished a fine indoor league season winning 15 out of 16 games. Well done to the teams and their coaches. Lymo B teams also put up respectable performances as well. This all bodes well for the outdoor season, not too long to go now.

Colts graduate to New Forest District side and Train with Hampshire
This year has bought a splendid crop of talented colts who have been selected for the District side and 3 are training hard in the Hampshire County Winter Training program hoping to be selected to represent the County in the Summer.
This really is a tribute to not only the talent of colts that play for Lymington but also of the coaching that has bought so many up to this standard.
