Lymington lost the toss and were asked by Totton and Eling to bat. With some fine shots from captain O.Marshall(9) and Asa Drodge(3) the first pair made a steady start. With the introduction of O.Hills(7) and Finn Ambrose(16) the bowlers struggled to kerb the runs. The third pair M.McGrigor(20) and A.McGrigor(7) put the fielders under more pressure from quick calling and running. The final pair B.Howard-Allen(2) and W. Howland(12) continued the pressure on the bowlers ending the innings on 290 with the loss of only one wicket.
The Lymington bowlers were on impressive form and with tidy wicket keeping from A. Mcgrigor the less experienced Totton and Eling side were unable to push the score over 200. Pick of the Lymington bowlers were Howard-Allen 3-1-2-7, Hills 2-0-2-4, Marshall 3-0-2-5, Drodge 2-0-3-2 and Ambrose 2-1-2-1.
This performance by Lymington shows great promise though the boys will need to be on top form to face a strong Bashley side next week.
