LYMINGTON 87 FOR 2 VS ELLINGHAM 86 ALL OUT

Lymington won the toss and elected to field first. With the return of M Osullivan (5.2-1-7-4) from university Lymington exserted more pressure on the batsmen. With the introduction of two youngsters J Bowring (4-0-13-0) and K Moors (4-2-6-0) bowling, runs seemed hard to come by. With M Radford (33) the main stay of the batsman finally caught by Osullivan the rest of the wickets were only a matter of time in coming. The quality bowling of P Tapper (8-4-5-3) and T Noble (8-2-35-2) finally ended Ellinghams innings in the 34th over on 86 all out.

After a lovely tea Lymingtons openers S Tapper (20) and D Jayasinghue (29) were both caught and bowled by R Chan. T Beer (27 not out) and F Ambrose (not out) finished off the game in the 14th over for 87 with the loss of only two wickets. Lymington 3rds still remain top of the league.
