Lymington 85 for 3 vs Suttoners 83 all out

Lymington travelled to Kinson on Saturday to play suttoners and on a very green wicket and rain forecast Lymington won the toss and elected to field putting Suttoners in to bat. L Di Maria (10-14-5) bowled excellent and restricted Suttoners run rate to two an over. P Tapper (8-13-2) C Noble (10-24-1) and T Noble (7-19-1) took the other wickets with the help of Young wicketkeeper K Moors who had two stumpings and two catches, one being a diving one hand catch while those around him stood and watched. Suttoners were all out for 83.

With rain through tea it looked unlikely that any more cricket was to be played. But with a break in the rain Lymington went in to bat and started off cautiously because of the damp surface but the ball was bouncing well and unfortunately claimed Lymingtons first wicket in the 5th over. D Dimaria (23) and T Beer (13) boosted the run rate until both were out caught. P Tapper (15no) and T Noble (19no) made use of the one short boundary and wrapped the game up in the 23rd over on 85 for 3.
