Lymington lost the toss and were put in to bat. With the loss of one wicket in the second over things weren't going to plan. S Tapper (125) having just driven 6 hours from Cornwall went in to bat and got dropped on his first ball then went on to bat an excellent innings of 125, and with young J Roberts (46) put on a great partnership of quick singles and many 4's. Even younger F Ambrose (25 no) and A Drodge (20 no) hit three 4's each and boosted the score to 271 for 5.
Centurions came in to bat and with the first wicket in the 6th over wickets just seem to keep falling especially for Lymington's bowler L Dimaria (8.1-3-25-7) who had a four wicket maiden. 13 year old L Ambrose (4-22-1) took the first wicket and his younger brother F Ambrose (4-10-2) contributed to take wickets. Tight fielding and good catches gave Lymington a 212 run win.
