Glyn's heroics not enough for Dorset

Having helped Lymington to a 9 wicket win at Gosport with a gritty half century on Saturday, Glyn Treagus continued his good form with the bat at Dean Park over the Bank Holiday. Glyn notched up 96 and 73 not out for Dorset against Wales in the Minor County Championship.

Sadly it wasn't enough to prevent the county from falling to defeat against a strong Welsh side that included five of the current Glamorgan squad, as well as the ex-Middlesex and Glamorgan wicketkeeper Colin Metson. Set 322 to win on the final afternoon of the three day game, Wales cruised home to a 7 wicket win with 5 overs to spare.

The Dorset side contained several Southern League players including Bashley's Neil Thurgood and Havant's new paceman Richard Pineo.
